Wendy’s: Redhead Redemption


It’s a tough life being a redhead in Australia, what with being called everything under the sun. Ginger, ranga, blood-nut, you name it, and as a fiercely strawberry-blonde myself I’ve copped a driveby here and there. 

So when the sassiest redhead on earth decided to open in Australia, we felt that it was about time we gave Aussie gingers their moment in the sun (with 50+ SPF protection of course). 

To celebrate World Redhead Day, we elevated redheads to VIPs, inviting anyone with red hair the chance to claim a free burger at Wendy's first local store in Surfer’s Paradise. In an act of goodwill, we even let non-redheads get in on the action, on the condition they made a “red-hot” effort by transforming into honorary redheads for the day in solidarity for their pasty skin brothers and sisters (wear a red wig).
