Weber: Spirit of supper.

Challenge

Launching Weber’s new Spirit range meant showing people more than what the barbecue could cook.

Because while great food might get people around the table, it’s rarely the thing they remember most. We needed to give Spirit a role in the part of entertaining that actually matters: bringing people together.

Strategy

In any supper club, everybody brings something to the table, even if it’s not food.

There’s the host, side dish hero, mixologist, DJ, stylist, dog patter, group chat historian, cinephile. You name it.

Because the best nights aren’t really about how good the food tasted, although it helps. They’re about having an excuse to catch up with the people you love and create a few new memories along the way.

So rather than making Spirit the hero of the night, we made it the thing that helped the night happen.

Idea

We created The Spirit Supper Club, a content series following five creators as the archetypes you’d find at any good supper club.

Each episode followed one creator preparing their contribution to the night, mixing practical inspiration with the rituals, personalities and organised chaos that go into getting everyone around the table.

All culminating into the supper club itself, showcasing a different kind of food inspiration video to an audience seeking out more ways to connect than ever before.
