TAFE NSW: Gap Year



Rising HECS debts, cost of living, job insecurity, and the housing crisis have caused high school leavers to freak out. Uncertainty lurks around every corner for this generation, meaning that the thought of taking on massive debt is a daunting prospect.

TAFE NSW has long offered an extensive catalogue of short courses, ranging from one day up to two months. These courses give school leavers what they desperately desire: commitment-free education. So, we leveraged this, taking the university-owned concept of a gap year and giving it the TAFE NSW edge. Giving high school leavers the chance to get a taste of what they love before deciding if they want to continue down the path or not.
